There are few things more disturbing than the sound of a child separated from their mother. Nothing is more frightful for a child. To be alone, whether it's going to bed at night, or being left behind with a sitter for mom and dad's date night, few children do well when left without their parents.
Even adults can feel the uneasiness of going it alone when life presents difficult "rivers" to navigate.
But the good news is that God does not desire for us to go through the deep waters on our own.
